The Sony SNC-Z20N Color Network Camera is a digital network camera that distributes live images or video over an intranet or the Internet via a built-in web-server. The Sony SNC-Z20N allows high-quality remote surveillance from any browser on the network, and provides full Web-based control of its various management and configuration functions. Connecting via 10/100 Base T/TX Ethernet for both networking and power, the SNC-Z20N achieves up to 30 fps (frames per second).

This camera utilizes a 0.25-inch color Exwave HAD CCD (charge-coupled device) image sensor and provides up to 640-by-480 effective pixels at high resolutions.
